The Springfield Union - Friday November 20, 1959

CHICOPEE - Capt. Clayton C. Pittsinger, commanding officer of Co. C 1st Battle Group of the 104th Infantry, Massachusetts National Guard, Thursday announced the promotions of eight men.

Robert K. White of 9 Hampshire St. Holyoke, was given the rank of staff sergeant.

Promoted to sergeant were: John J. Currier, Jr., of Lombard Rd., Leslie A. Fournier of 36 Kaveney St., Donald J. Gagnon of 49 Ames Ave., Paul M. Lavallee of 48 Bliss St., West Springfield, Ronald D. Pete of 27 Bonner St., Roger R. Plasse of 121 Paderewski Ave., and Robert J. Seytkowski of 78 Bemis St.

Capt. Pittsinger also announced that John L. Koscielski, Jr., of 40 Fairfield Ave., and Harold L. Reney, Jr. of 208 Chicomansett Village have enlisted in the Chicopee company and will leave Nov. 29 for six months basic training at Fort Dix, N.J.
