Chicopee, Feb 23 -- Several boys of Boy Scout Troop 138 of Aldenville, accompanied by Scoutmaster Rene Paquette, hiked Monday to Cooley Brook, where the noon-day meal, a "cook-out", was prepared.
Passing the requirements for cooking and fire-building were Thomas Guenette, Rudolph Geisking,Jr., and Arthur Breyare, and for fire-building, Levi Carrier, Donald Robillard, and Paul Thibeault.
Other scouts making the trip were Richard Goyette, Thomas Hugh, Homer Stebbins, James Sullivan, George Escott, Gerald Burge, Thomas Patrie, Theodore Yargeau, Robert Geoffrey, Robert and Richard Rivet, Jack Koscielski, Robert Berger, Wilfred Caron, George Verdon, and Richard Plasse.
Scoutmaster Paquette was assisted by Senior Patrol Leader Leslie Fournier and Assistant Patrol Leader Richard Fulton.
Explorer Scouts Joseph Bardon, Richard Gaboury, and Earl Roberts, with Gerald Fournier in charge, hiked to Langwall's Pond. The boys are participating in these hikes in preparation for the board of review March 5 and the court of honor March 12.
