Aldenville Court of Honor Arranged for Troop 138

The Springfield Union – Wednesday, October 3, 1951

Chicopee, Oct. 2 – Parents and friends of Boy Scouts of Troop 138 are invited to attend the Court of Honor Thursday night at 8 in the St Rose de Lima Parish Auditorium. A.J. Delauriers, chairman of the troop 138 committee will preside and invocation will be made by Rev. Norman Richard. Scoutmaster Rene G. Paquette assisted by Robert Therrien and Marcel Adams, assistant scoutmasters will give the scout oath and law and the pledge of allegiance to the flag. An investiture ceremony for tenderfoot scouts will be executed by scoutmaster Paquette with the following tenderfoot class participating: Leo Dufault, Paul Patenaude, Robert Bonneau, David Lefebvre, Robert Parent, Rene Leclair, J. Labonte, David Desforges, Donakd Parkas, Robert Paul, Frederick Swanson, Roger Benoit, and Daniel Lamica.

Second Class Scouts who will be invested will include Richard Fulton, Earl Roberts, and Richard Viens while first class scouts will include Robert Harvey, David Plourde.

Other scouts who will receive numerous badges for successfully completing tests are: Leslie Fournier, 13 merits; Richard Fulton, five; Robert Harvey, six; Earl Robert, four, Robert Hendry, one, and David Plourde, four.

Various skits will be presented by the troop patrols under the leadership of Senior Patrol Leader Leslie Fournier. Refreshments will be served under the chairmanship of Robert J. Deslauriers and Committeemen Charles W Fournier, Julien D. Allard, Antonio Lefebvre, ad Raymond W. Gelinas. The parish priests have received a special invitation to be present as will institutional representative Rolland O. Fleury. Scoutmaster Paquette will conduct the closing ceremony.
